Hi! I am Christine, owner / creator of Secondhand reDesigns. I started my professional life as a registered nurse and this left me longing for a creative outlet, so I began refurbishing furniture. This eventually led me to starting a small business to promote three things: Creativity – Community – Conservation. I love taking old, tired furniture and giving it new life. I also enjoy teaching others to update and love old furniture. Teaching others in the community to recycle old furniture saves our environment and promotes conservation.
Spending my weekends at swap meets and in thrift stores finding vintage home goods, décor and furniture is one of my favorite things to do. This preserves the past and protects the future (less in our landfills.) In my booth, you will see vintage finds in their original state and some that I have redesigned. You will also find a variety of products to help you recreate an old item into a new favorite. I am a Dixie Belle Paint retailer and will be offering classes for all skill levels. Look on the Under the Arbor webpage for painting classes in the future. I look forward to helping you create your own masterpiece or perhaps you finding a piece of home décor that you will cherish in my booth. I do custom work and consultations. Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 916-220-0258.
